Hello!

And welcome to my last Sunday 7 of 2017.

I haven’t managed a Sunday 7 for the past couple of weeks due to our home renovations reaching a head, as well as the fact that we’re into that somewhat frenetic period in the lead up to D-day with school Nativity plays, Carol Services not to mention the two separate family Christmases I’ve already had with my two lots of in-laws!

But to be honest, it’s a bit of a relief to get those family obligations out of the way early, so we can take it easy over the actual Christmas Holidays and perhaps try and get our building site home back on track… and perhaps even move into the new bedroom.

Anyway, what’s on my Christmas wish list?

Not much to be honest, as I seem to ‘self-gift’ all year round to be honest!

That, and the fact that we’ve just spent a small fortune on re-doing the bathrooms and bedrooms… honestly, I pretty much have all that I want in life.

{Not strictly true, I always *want* stuff, but actually, don’t mind the fact that I don’t *actually, actually* have it!}

HOWEVER… if pushed, these are a few things I’d quite like for Christmas:

7. Look FantasticBobbi Brown Blusher (£19.50 – Nectar)

I love Bobbi Brown blushers.

I’ve been faithful and loyal to them since buying my wedding make-up from the Bobbi Brown counter in Selfridges back in Spring 2005: I use a small layer of the Pot Rouge (for lips and cheeks), followed by a light sweep of the regular powder blush which I usually go for in Nectar, but have bought the Pale Pink before as well.

Anyway, I have run out of this powder blush.

Rather, I have a few teensy tiny ‘edges’ of blusher left in the pot, which I’m currently having to stab my brush onto in an attempt to get the last of it out, but it’s crumbling and almost down to nothing.

I need a new one!

6. Mango (Kids) – Wool Faux Fur Coat (£49.99)

So I think it’s pretty well documented on my blog that I’ve struggled to find a teddy coat to fit my narrow shoulders.

I think it would be fair to describe most teddy coats as being over-sized by their very cut and design, which of course has only hindered my hunt for “the one” further.

This Mango Kids Wool Faux Fur Coat in the age 11-12 is perfect on me…

And yes… I might have ordered it, tried it for size and handed it to Mr T to wrap for me for Xmas day.

Not that I’m a control freak or anything!

Back to the sizing of this coat: I’m 152cms tall and generally speaking, a size 6; so this Mango Kids coat in age 11-12 is a great fit although, it’s not a big, long teddy coat… in terms of length it might just cover my backside.

The colour is paler than I would have liked, but… I’m going with it.

If you’re size 8, I imagine the age 13 – 14 (164cms) would be a good fit.

5. Marks and Spencer – Absolute All in One Cream (£21.00)

I’ve read a LOT of very good things about the Absolute Formula – Ultimate Sleep Cream over this past year but every single time I tried to make my purchase, it was out of stock.

But now that it is in stock, I found myself asking my sister to buy me the Absolute All in One Cream rather than the Ultimate Sleep Cream… mainly because my skin doesn’t fair very well with most of the night/sleep creams as they are too heavy on my skin.

I figured the all-in-one-cream would be lighter and better for me.

Fingers crossed!

4. Tin Design – Iris Apfel Print (from £19.95)

I’d like to hang this print of Iris, under the shiny, new copper gallery light on the chimney breast of my new bedroom… I think she’d look very cool up there.

3. House of Fraser – Le Mini Macaron Gel Manicure Kit Cassis (£35)

I think I blogged about this cute little gel-mani kit back in the summer when I’d been to a couple of xmas press days.

Basically, the little macaroon shaped light can be plugged in via a USB charger & dries your gel polish in 20 odd seconds, one nail at a time and the light can be also swivelled around for pedi’s.

I can imagine doing one nail at a time might feel frustrating for some, and that if you did all your nails in one hit, then it probably takes the same time as a bigger gel mani kit.

However, for me, a very impatient, can’t sit still kind of gal… the fact that I could do a couple of nails, then leave it and do something else in the middle and then come back to my mani is an ideal way of me doing my nails!

Plus with a shellac mani cost £20 – £30 a pop, this little gel kit is great value for money.

That said, from online reviews of the kit, it does sound like a salon shellac would last longer… but again, I get frustrated with how quickly my shellac mani’s grow out and only like having painted nails occassionally.

This one I might have to buy myself for Christmas!

2. Marks and Spencer – Pixi Glow Tonic (£18)

The one which other bloggers and instagrammers have made me want to try.

I haven’t gotten round to buying it though, so… yeah, just want to see what all the fuss is about really!

1. The Outnet – J Brand Selena Cropped Mid-rise Bootcut Jeans (£98)

Another one I may have ordered and passed on to Mr T to present to me on Christmas day!

I ordered these last week, as there was only one pair left in my size.

And because… if you download the app, you can get 20% off.

I have the burgundy cord version of these and absolutely love them.

Fran (The Fashion Lift) is always raving about these jeans, and I have to say, she has a very good point… and exactly as per her advice, I sized down by 2 sizes as they come up big.

When I ordered the cords a few months ago, I couldn’t quite believe that the trousers would come up *that* big, so ordered my usual size, as well as the two sizes below….

But, Fran knows what she’s talking about!

So this time, I knew exactly which size to order, and it is indeed, 2 sizes down from my usual size.

And that’s it for my xmas wish list!

I think it’s fairly modest, and I won’t be getting it all… which is absolutely fine by me!

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, whilst I may always seem to want loads of things… and in fact, it’s true, I really *do* want loads of things… at this time of year, I can’t help but be grateful for all that I have: my lovely home, my boys… and of course Sylvie!

And as long as I have these guys with me… what else do I really need?

This is my last Sunday 7 for this year – I’ll be back in January 2018.

Until then – thank you so much for following me, here on my blog… wishing you all the loveliest of Christmases and the happiest of New Years!
